The project involves the completion and redesign of all the interior and exterior spaces of a detached house in Puglia, nestled amongst centuries-old olive trees and offering a wonderful view of the sea and the ‘white city’ of Ostuni.

The project aimed to maximise visual continuity between the interior spaces and sought to create an intimate connection between the various rooms of the house and the large garden surrounding it.

The house is divided into two distinct areas: the living area, comprising a living room and kitchen that open directly onto one another, and the sleeping area, comprising three bedrooms and three bathrooms.

The spacious living room has been designed to be the heart of the home, with the large, sleek fireplace at its centre. Here, large windows open up the space to the surrounding countryside and frame the majestic, centuries-old olive trees on the property.

The project sought to capture the distinctive character of the Ostuni area, incorporating Moroccan elements as a tribute to the clients’ strong connection with Marrakech and Africa.
Elegant materials in warm tones were chosen, such as microcement and lime plaster – both with a sand-coloured finish – and walnut wood for the bespoke furniture and fittings.

The outdoor area is defined by the interplay between two main elements: the dry-stone walls in white stone and the microcement surfaces. Through their movement and staggered arrangement, these elements delineate the pool area, creating a relaxation zone featuring built-in sofas and Mediterranean plants.
